A new school year-- I am having trouble with the knitting club because all my really zealous knitters and crocheters graduated.  I've got one girl who comes to every meeting and a couple of others who tend not to show up-- and that's it.  We are going to try to pair up with a nursing home nearby and have the kids knit with an old person-- that might bring more kids into the group.

I am working on a lace shawl for Hannah this year-- I doubt it will be done by Christmas or even by her birthday.  It is pretty complicated.  She will be in Santa Barbara at grad school, so she won't need a lot of wooly things.   I've made two capelet- things with turtlenecks.  Very cute and warm too.  I also have yarn for entrelac hats-- those will be for Christmas gifts.
